D&D (2024) Githzerai Psion? Thri-kreen Psion? Where's My Psion?

Psion and Elementalist are opposites. Essentially, mind versus matter.

Psion includes "spirit", ether, telekinesis, and force objects, as well as sometimes radiant auras and luminosity.

The power source of psionic magic is ones own soul: living body-aura "ki", "spirit" being sense-of-self influence and ghost-like telekinesis, and "mind" being mindscape of reality-bending Wish and transcendent consciousness enlightenment.

Things that manipulate the elements− earth (metal, crystals), fire (Fireball), water-air (weather) − do better away from the psionic tropes.

However, the sense of the soul pervading and enlivening the body to form lifeforms is psionic. Especially in Nordic tropes, healing (including resurrection) and shapeshifting (including Beast forms and Dragon forms) are important aspects of the mind − all of this is "psychometabolism", which I prefer to call "form" "shifting".

If we are not enlightened tattoo covered esoterics with a love of crystals, what even are we doing.
Crystals: if the Artificer class has a psionic subclass, this is it.

The UA Archivist with artificial intelligent crystals.

These "tattoos" are circuitry.

I mean that's a fine take, but I'm firmly set in the New Age of the 60s and 70s.
No contradiction, the AI crystals can have a groovy hippie psychedelic vibe! It depends on the individual Artificer. Like someone "programming" a tree to grow a bicycle.

These can be "Astral Crystals", each with a psychedelic Astral dominion.

Science!

Partial agreement, but there are some areas where I feel psionics can dip their toes in this. Pyrokinesis is a psionic trope, after all, as a subset of telekinesis.

As for crystals, I don't necessarily think psionics should be able to conjure/manipulate them (though it doesn't bother me if they do), but I think using them as focusing devices works fine.

The Benders from Avatar: The Last Airbender and the Legend of Korra are element-themed telekinetics.

Among the fullcasters, I would rather have the Druid and the Sorcerer, have all of the Elementalist emphasis, especially the Elemental "Benders", pyros and geos, etcetera.

(Psions can have the Force-constructs.)

It would be especially awesome if the Element Benders are a Druid psionic subclass.
