Give me some build idea for Scarlet Brotherhood villains

My current campaign will involve some encounter with Scarlet Brotherhood agents, though the Brotherhood is not the main opponent of the campaign.

Anyway, I want to let appear 2-3 distinctive Scarlet Brotherhood monk NPCs. The problem is, monk class is rather weak. I guess single class monk will be no match for med-to-highly optimized PCs.

So, I am trying to use some feats, prestige classes, items and such for making some monk-based effective opponents.

One would be an Enlightened Fist with Ascetic Mage feat. With Wraithstrike spell, Arcane Strike and class abilities from EF, she can be a worthy opponent.

But I cannot think of builds for others. Would you please give me some ideas for making strong monk-based combatants? The level of the villains would be 12-14.

The Scarlet Brotherhood has other type of agents as well, assassins and thief spies are classics, and the 2e sourcebook includes suel mages and monster trainers.

For straight monks I don't remember anything too cool prestige class-wise from Complete Warrior, Oriental Adventures, Rokugan Sword and Fist, or Quintessential Monk. I vaguely remember going for tattoo monk with one PC but wanted to complete 8 levels of normal monk first to not lose out on BAB.

My normal house rule fix for monks is to just give them 1/1 BAB.

If you have one spell monk you could also go with a super defense tank build monk (tons of wisdom and dodge feats and fighting defensively stuff and protective items) and a nimble maneuverable mage killer one to have three bases covered for D&D monk archetypes. Super grappler is not going to do well against a typical party unless he grabs somebody and jumps over the side of a cliff to separate the target from everybody else.
