Globe of Invulnerability confusion

I am a bit confused as to how Globe of Invulnerability works.

Say a Fireball is cast 50' away set to explode just outside the globe, would people inside the globe get hurt, or would the fire just not blast within the globes radius?

Is there any differens it the fireball is cast aimed at a person inside the globe?

Second scenario: A lightning bolt is cast into the globe, would the lightning then move up until the globe, disappear within the globes radius, and then continue as a lightning bolt on the other side of the globe afterwards or.. ?

Any help would be appreciated, also if someone has a link or two with more definitions on this spell that would be nice.

"The area of effect of any such spells does not include the globe of invulnerability."

Thus, a fireball or lightning bolt that starts outside of the globe, will be suppressed in the area, where the globe is. But yes, it'll continue outside of it, like in your lightning bolt example, as the effect is merely suppressed where the globe resides.
