Goldfinger/Yellow Fever

I was just watching Goldfinger and noticed that all of said badguy's minions were all asians. Oddjob, the stewardess on the plane, and all his gold car making cronies.

This screams yellow fever. I mean really. Gold. Yellow. Asians. WTF?

Yellow Fever? I don't see that listed in the DMG. Is it anything like Mummy Rot?

Seriously, is Yellow Fever some term for anti-Asian racism that I just never heard before? Or is this 'fever' in a more positive sense, like Saturday Night Fever, thus implying that Ian Fleming wanted to show us all how cool Asians are?

Well, then again, there's You Only Live Twice, in which James Bond actually gets mild surgical alterations to look Japanese. But I was more ticked off when the woman he's fallen for gets offed, and James shows practically no remorse. To hell with Yellow Fever, let's kick some Bond ass over his flagrant chauvinism.

that are obsessed with everything Asian. Y'know, like the
mythology/martial arts/manga/zen-thingamings or the women.

No, they're not. Pussy Galore is very caucasian. And maybe most of her pilot squadron, but I'm not sure about them.

In the book, it explains that Mr. Goldfinger hired all his employees from the same Asian country (Korea i think) and didn't allow any of them to learn english. Helped him to maintain a certain level of control.

BTW Odd Job kicks serious @$$ in the book.
