Good class to add to dragons?

Cleric levels.

"The Dragon mutters a prayer, and suddenly seems much, much stronger..." (Strength Domain power)

"The Dragon utters an Unholy Word, and then breathes on your stunned butts. No Reflex save; 10d10 damage. <sound of many dice rolling>"

"The Dragon, mortally wounded, mutters one last prayer ... <d20 roll> your Spellcraft reveals, too late, that the spell is Heal. The Dragon leaps into the air and breathes on you."

"The Dragon casts Righteous Might and suddenly becomes even larger..."

Or, Ranger levels (favored enemies: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, Gnomes).

Ooooo, or PsiWarrior levels! They get Tumble, and just imagine a Dragon with Psionic Feats!

Bards have very few unique abilities, but this is one that would be kind of funny: cast Modify memory on the adventurers and change their memories from: "We are going to loot Balshamrath's lair which is in the Crystalmyst mountains, third mountain on the right" to "We are going to loot Balshamrath's lair which is in the Kokaltaag mountains, third layer of the abyss."

Then use your sorcerous Scrying abilities for loads of televised viewing pleasure. :D

You could also go to inns telling tales on how you acquired your adventurer skin armour! :D

Now I've got visions of a group of dragons clustered round a crystal ball making bets on how long the Paladin lives...:D

let's see...Dragon Fu of course would be very surprising...I think the main problem with this kind of thing is that the it's difficult to do seriously. I mean, how would you describe a dragon Bard without it becoming somewhat ridiculous?

Booming Voice: "You may call me Sage. I am the Chronical of Lost Lore and Ages Past."

PS: "And now, I shall sing you a song!"

You mean to say you were serious  :D

A really good class to add to Dragons though, now I think of it, is Egoist. The body buffing and healing is excellent. If you take Inertial Armour and the improved versions thereof (Minds eye) You have one kick ass Dragon with even only a few levels of Egoist. And a psicrystal to boot... I suggest coward, that would be fun!

Which is exactly why I would suggest going straight into Loremaster for the sagely Dragon. The way the Perform skill works, even a mediocre bard probably has...

...gulp...

Perform Dance.

The Riverdance Dragon. Be afraid. Be very Afraid...

Perform (Dance): Aerial ballet. It would be dragon-style dancing, not human-style dancing in a draconic form. Songs would be deep bass, vibrating the earth and calling to the elements themselves. Chants would be draconic histories of things few mortal races remember.

My knee-jerk reaction to dragon class levels would be to replace sorcerer with another class, instead of adding to sorcerer. Thus, a dragon that was the equivalent of a sorc/10 might instead be a druid/10.

I just can't resist...

At the Retired Gentledragon's Club:

"Pass me another adventurer will you, Salvirix?"
"Sure Ashafirog."
"Ah... Young Cormyrian female... nice vintage."
"So. How did you acquire your hoard?"
"Invaded a Dwarf Stronghold, useing an Orc tribe as cronies."
"Classic"
"You?"
"Waited for my father and uncle to die. Teleported both hoardes to one spot. A merger as it were. Defending it from adventures ever since."
"And you Balsharmath?"
"Polymorphed myself into an adventuring Bard. Sang my way from inn to inn. Put all my wealth into a bag of holding and used my bardic Lore to find a vacant lair. According to legend and popular theory, it is still empty, so I have not much defending to do either."

*Ashafirog and Salvirix call security to get Basharmath thrown out of the Gentledragon's club*
