The elves in my setting are very much chaotic.
They live in the moment, have no laws, each tribe possesses almost nothing in the way of a social hierarchy (aside from their current tribal chief), and they openly mock other societies for having such concepts as taboos.
On the one hand, they will help rescue slaves from abusive masters and escort them to safety elsewhere.
On the other hand, they are insufferably fickle, and are widely thought of as being "emotionally insane".
