Well since you don't mind the chick-flick aspects of those two, House of Flying Daggers.

Anybody know of a entertaining Wuxia / splatter movie? Flying people, hidden wires, firehose of blood sorta deal.

& hows the samurai werewolf movie?

House of Flying Daggers is pretty entertaining, even though it does have a couple of problems (spoiler tags used due to revealing parts of the ending):
Anybody notice how Zhang Ziyi's character came back to life 3 or 4 times at the end of the movie before finally dying for good? I actually found it silly instead of tragic.

You might like The Legend of Zu

It takes wuxia to an almost superhero level, though. And I had no idea what has going on. But it looks fabulous. Really. Some of the best visuals I've ever seen in a movie.

For a really bad wuxia splatter movie, check out Kunoichi: Lady Ninja (I think it's a series). I thought it was serious; but it's sort of like the Japanese version of Troma movies. (Also probably not wuxia, since that's Chinese. I also don't remember many wire scenes)

You might also try "Storm Riders" which I've heard good things about but haven't seen yet

It was supposed to get a US theatrical release as "Zu Warriors", but apparently that didn't happen. You can get the original version (ie, non edited, non-dubbed) on DVD from Netflix/Blockbuster
