1. Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones movies)-I like nerds. Indiana Jones is a tough, rugged nerd.
2. Batman (Batman comics, Batman movies)-He’s a killjoy, but I like his vigilante style.
3. Gandalf the Grey-Basically an angel in man flesh. Therefore most likely smarter than Holmes. Therefore he wins.
4. none-I don’t hate them, I just don’t care for them.
5. King Arthur (mythology, various novels)-Robin Hood led a tax revolt in Britain, King Arthur brought it safety and stability. Both are very noble, but in the end I voted for the King (and I don‘t mean Elvis).
6. Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)-Though Samwise Gamgee is a good fellow, and definitely heroic, he never rose out of Frodo’s shadow. In my opinion, a great hero should come in to his own.
7. Han Solo (Star Wars)-I don’t care for the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I prefer virtuous and heroic mercenaries instead.
8. Spider-Man (comics, movies, TV shows)-Another tough nerd.

1. Conan the Cimmerian (Robert Howard's novels, Conan movies)
2. Batman (Batman comics, Batman movies)
3. Sherlock Holmes
4. Captain James T. Kirk (Star Trek)
5. King Arthur (mythology, various novels)
6. Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)
7. Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
8. Spider-Man (comics, movies, TV shows)

1. Indiana Jones - Guns beat swords. ;)
2. Batman - Bats would find a way to beat Odysseus
3. Gandalf the Grey - After many years of friendly and sporting competition, Gandalf simply outlives the mortal Holmes. But oddly enough, just after the victory he slips and falls down the firey chasm in between his study and outhouse to his doom. Oop.
4. Captain James T. Kirk - "It looks pissed sir." "Hmph - Fire photon torpedos!"
5. Robin Hood - I just like the rogue a bit more...
6. Luke Skywalker - Sam is a great character but Luke gets my vote. Maybe if it was Aragorn Luke would lose, but not to Sam.
7. Buffy Summers - Harrison Ford and his finger-o-doom only get to win once. ;) But seriously, Buffy is more of a hero and would clean the floor with Han. And Chewie.
8. Spider-Man - Battle of the one-liners! Bond hasn't been entertaining in years. The nod goes to Spidey.
