I remember the old Batman television show had celebrities poking their heads out of windows whenever Batman and Robin would be climbing a building... :D

Athlete cameos!

Reggie Jackson in Naked Gun.
Brett Favre in There's Something About Mary
Joe Namath on The Simpsons ("I'm Joe Namath"..."Just remember one thing"..."vapor lock")
Chuck Norris and Lance Armstrong from Dodgeball.

Hilarious.

I did not know that. Though I've always gotten a kick out of Don S Davis having been Gen. Hammond in Stargate SG-1. Would have been nice to have gotten a few "Owls" references out of that character.
I think they were too busy with McGyver references. At least in the pilot.

Steve Martin and Mel Brooks in The Muppet Movie

The Muppet Movie is all about the cameos. In addition to Mel Brooks and Steve Martin, others who appeared in cameos in that movie are: Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, James Coburn, Dom DeLuise, Elliot Gould, Bob Hope, Madeline Kahn, Carol Kane, Cloris Leachman, Richard Pryor, Telly Savalas, Orson Welles, and Paul Williams.

In a very obscure cameo, John Landis provided the voice of Grover for the movie.

I knew about the others (okay, not Landis) but Steve Martin and Mel Brooks had the best cameos, that's why I mentioned those 2.
