Green Ronin announces 3rd Era

Didn't see this posted so thought I'd spread the word.

Green Ronin will be re-releasing their d20 products under a new logo labeled "3rd Era."

That seems like a good idea.

And possibly a lot of work. The d20 logo on the cover isn't necessarily the only thing that would need to be changed.

Given that they put out some of the finest 3e supplements seen, I am glad to see that their material will still be available.

Sounds good to me especially for players who want to play 3/3.5 and don't have access to older materials.

Very cool. One obstacle I always have introducing players new material is less than universal access. It's nice having the backstock open!

Book of Fiends is really hard to find, so this will be great for those wanting it in print.

As a big fan of Green Ronin, this is really cool news. I knew that they were keeping their material available, but I didn't know that they were creating a new logo.

Now, what would be even cooler is if GR could unite companies like Adamant, Blackdyrge, Blue Devil, Highmoon/Monkey God, Malhavoc, Mystic Eye Games, Necromancer, Silverthorne, Skirmisher to make their 3e material available under the 3rd Era logo (of course, a couple of those companies are rereleasing stuff under the 4e GSL )

No, that's not what they are doing.

They are removing the d20 logo and related text since the d20 STL will be no more. IF they didn't remove the d20 logo, they would have to be removed from sale at some point in the future. But GR also decided to create a new logo to indicate the system they were designed for and are taking the opportunity to get them onto Lulu as well.

So it's the same books, just still available into the future (and even more available with getting them onto Lulu for print on demand).
