grillin' time: what's your favorite grub?

Steak for me, followed by brats and bbq chicken. On the latter I like a good amount of char from half-burned sauce. (Original recipe open pit. I'm a simple girl.)

Swordfish and Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi)...

I have seen a vicious argument arise over this before, so let me mention...

Mahi-mahi is also known as "dolphin-fish". He's not talking about the happy, playful mammal.

*On the subject of sauce- I occasionally make a spicy cherry-mustard sauce. Its sweet, tangy, spicy and a LOT healthier than most BBQ sauces...and amazingly, most people can't tell its not a true BBQ sauce.

That sauce sounds divine. I usually use a bottle sauce, but occasionally I steal a bbq recipe that uses Coca-Cola. I haven't found one that I haven't liked yet.

Ribs are my fave. I like to marinate them overnight in a special homemade blend. After throughly being cooked, I put just a tiny smidgeon of bbq sauce on 'em then devour them.

Good eats!

Typically, I grill sausage (first), followed by some kind of beef (usually steaks- Ribeyes or Strips preferred, T-Bones or Porterhouses on occasion), then the stuff that takes a while, like pork or poultry.

I always start with burgers... They're quick, they keep the kids happy while everything else cooks, and they do a good job of greasing up the grill, which keeps the fish and chicken from sticking (for some reason, I've always had a problem with fish and chicken sticking to my grill :\ ).

Tuna steaks are awesome on the grill. Can't cook them too long though! Seared on the outside, pink on the inside.

My sister's husband cooked lamb on the grill for Easter with pepper and rosemary rub - amazing!

I really like veggies (onions, peppers, zucchini, squash, etc) and Polish sausage on the grill too.

I am a fan of various types of sausages on the grill as well as kababs. My wife has a great recipie for a honey lemon garlic maronaide for shrimp and chicken that is wonderful on rosemary skewers (we have a monster plant in front of the house that threatens to devour company on occasion) beside a skewer of onions, squash, zuchini, tomatos, and mushrooms.

PS. To Relique Hunter, lovey picture in your sig block, but would you mind shrinking it a bit? It skews the page as is.

Burger & Brats if I'm being cheap, which is most of the time.

Steak every once in a while, but when I've got plenty of time it's gotta be pulled pork. Can't have a proper BBQ without slow-cooked pulled pork in Homemade sauce, and none of that Texas garbage either. You're supposed to taste the meat not burn out your tastebuds on peppers.
