Has anyone seen the new Star Wars ll commercial?

I have recently been seeing a commercial for the second Star Wars movie that kinda ticks me off. Its the one where the anouncer says, "Who da man? Yo da man!"
Needless to say the person is talking about Yoda. I find this commercial extremely cheesy, and that it is basically ruining a good thing. The Star Wars movie was meant to give you thought on the choices that we make in life, (at least in my oppinion) and that all of them, good or bad, have a reaction.
Or am I just geting worked up over nothing?

Personnaly i laughed my butt off the first time i saw that. I didn't think it was cheesy, i thought it was hilarious. I hope that was thier intent.

It was obviously meant to be funny. It wasn't funny, but the play on words is obvious. Marketing is rarely good.

That Lucas, he's a hoot. "Yo da Man", sheer marketing genius. I laughed and laughed........... ok seriously it stank, I thought it was a toy commercial at first. Shows you who the target audience is.

I cringe whenever I even think about it, it is sickening. If the idea was to polute star wars with a dumbing down effect to get children to like it, it worked, but its an insult to the intelligence of everyone else.

I laughed at this commercial a lot. Of course this was mostly due to the way it paralleled real life. One of my friends made almost exactly the same comment after the movie. Marketing was simply emphasising what many people considered to be their single favorite scene from the movie. That's more than fair.
