D&D General Has anyone tried removing humans from the game?

I've run a 5e rules Gamma World/Fallout-esque mini campaign.
The PC were limited to mutated animal themed races...aarakocra, kenku, loxodon, tabaxi, minotaurs, etc and the like.

Humans did exist, but were in power armor and the big bad, and a secret to be discovered. Humanoids in general were hostile to mutated animals. Pure strain humans were hostile to anyone and everyone.

It worked fine. In 1e, it was often rare to have a single Human in our party. Unless someone wanted to play a Paladin or Cavalier, being a multiclass demi-human was almost de rigueur.

I did try once. I sprayed, I laid traps, I financed bounties, but every time I thought I was finally free didnt another one of those filthy buggers crawl out from under the bed. They're like cockroaches, I tell ya.

Beat me to it.

I was going to go with:

I tried, but those pesky PCs kept foiling my plots!

Lowkey and I had a quiet ceremony in an undisclosed location where he formally handed over the torch of the Laughing God and I swore a blood oath to uphold the faith. Is was very moving. I may have gotten a little misty.
