I've felt my ability scores change. The other weekend, I took a fairly heavy dose of dextromethorphan, enough to where it stopped acting as a cough suppressant and started acting as a dissasociative.

I felt like I was in a hall of mirrors. I was watching my friend Bebo, who was also on DXM, trip out. No, I was watching myself watching Bebo trip out. In a few minutes, as more DXM was metabolized into DXO and bonded to my NDMA receptors, stimulating theta wave production, I was watching myself watching me watch Bebo trip out. I began to have difficulty knowing which consciousness was mine.

Sounds like temporary charisma damage.

The only other psychedelic experience I've had was with Methylenedeoxymethamphetamine (Ecstasy). MDMA shakes loose all of your brain's serotonin, putting you in a state of befuddlement, but it increases your empathy with others. When you're rolling, you feel others. Essentially, I adjusted the empathy half of wisdom and charisma up at the cost of intelligence and the willpower/intuition of my wisdom score.

Through any great change of state of mind (not nessesarily drug-induced ones), have you felt your ability scores change?

when i had my wisdom teeth out. i took some tylenol 3. and i definitely heard the lights and saw pretty colors.

in d02 terms... listen and spot checks are wisdom based.

so maybe wisdom teeth repress your stat

I've often felt my Int drop while reading certain threads/web sites. :D

More seriously...
I probably lost a little Str due to side effects of a nasty wound. I have yet to regain it.

In game terms, I'd say my Str dropped from 13 to 12.

Through high school, I went from benching 120 to 200. Yes, I felt it change.

Totally. My wisdom has increased lately. I'd say how, but then I'd be called a kook. Again. and for the same reasons.

But more seriously, about 4 years ago I dislocated my knee. My dex went down. Even now, when I move that leg a certain way, my knee and back pop. Doesn't happen on the other side. I'm trying to make it better, to improve my lost mobility. I've been doing some light yoga to help. And walking a lot.

I should have been doing all that years ago, but have only recently begun self improvement. Its getting better.

Yes, I can feel my all of my stats decreasing as the years go by. :( For the record, I think Gygax and company were wrong. INT & WIS don't continue to go up as we age. We just think we become more intelligent and wise. Since we speak and act slower, we make fewer mistakes. But that's because we say and do less!

Of all the things Iv'e lost, I think I miss my mind the most!

A few years back when I used to lift weights regularly, the resulting muscle stiffness I'd feel the following day told me that my Str was increasing. :)

Six years ago I had cancer. The good thing was my ability scores were restored!

Now I work 65-70 hours a week... all stats drop like I was Baned

Well, strictly, you haven't lost Mobility. As soon as you get the Dex 13 prerequisite back, you can use the feat again.
