Heart of Artifice: Part I--Engineered Enigma

Yet another slur against his house, Aethelus puts it in the back of his mind, for now anyways. "If I might ask another question, will it still work now?"

"I do not know what Lucy would wish for. Also, as far as I know, it should not still work now. Diggy and I tested the array, and it did not produce results. Perhaps the array did not work now but the children meddled with something else that awoke some guardians from elsewhere in the complex?"

"But you've seen it work at least once. What it did? And why couldn't it work again? It seems pretty complex and old... one thing is sure, kids have a lot of imagination, so we can expect many things from a device that realize wishes." tells Kharas

"Oh, what it did...it is not important--that I can guarantee. If it did that again, it wouldn't really tell us anything. Imagination...you're right about that. Lucy and her friends always had a hyperactive imagination. Do you think that could trigger it? Imagination? Dreams? Perhaps all the times it would not trigger we were not imagining or dreaming hard enough?"

"I can't tell, even more as long as you'll keep you secrets for yourself, but that's your choice." replies Kharas. Kharas starts to scan the place to see what are the possible exit.

"If someone have been here, let's check if we can't find something that could tell us about him... or maybe he is even here. You familiar with this complex?" Kharas asks to Elizabeth?

"More secrets. Let's find out if there are any clues here and explore the rest." says Aethelus certain now that Elizabeth is keeping way too much from them but not willing to beat it out of her (at least not now with the others around). He starts a thurough search of the room, paying particular attention to the machine to try and figure out what it can do.

ooc: are the other 3 exits opened or closed?

(OOC: It's not a machine--just four short pillars holding gems surrounding a geometric-pattern-array drawn on the floor)

"I have been here a small number of times. There seemed nothing of great interest here except for this room," Elizabeth offers.

*The other exits all continue in different directions.*

(OOC: How is Aethelus inspecting things? Are we talking about Search? From a distance? Touching anything?)
