"Kharas! Ah hell, why'd he go and do that. Anvuss, I think it best we avoid the array for the moment at least. Who knows what that crazy dwarf has done now." says Aethelus. He looks around to see if there are any changes in the environment in say the array, the crystals, the corridors, what have you.

Anvuss has avoided the array for the moment, but is considering changing his mind.

"I did not recognize the magic that whisked Kharas away, and if this is truly wish granting magic it could be extremely dangerous to trifle with. However, it may just as easilly be a one way teleporter. Perhaps we should step onto the platform in rapid succession, in case hostile forces await?"

"It may be so. Or a two-way teleporter...but that is not what it did before, not even close, as I had told you. Very odd...if you two would like to go through, I shall wait for you to return out here."

(OOC: Of note, I'll need to know how long Anvuss delayed in total before going onto the array, if he does so at all)

(OOC2: On an unrelated note, Patlin, sorry about Lasair calling Rowan out in Looking for Trouble, but what with insulting her person and her culture, making penis jokes about vhal, etc, he was being exceptionally rude. Somehow I doubt that he is going to apologise though. :sigh: In some ways it would be so much smoother if Diplomacy checks worked on other PCs.)

With no further response, Anvuss will take a 5' step onto the spot his companion disapeared. He is operating on the assumption that this will teleport him, but is still not actively wishing for a particular result. If it works, he should arive in time to take the standard action and move action normally a part of his turn.

If it doesn't work that way (Anvuss can't continue his action after the teleport, as per DDoor) Anvuss would like to be full defending upon stepping on the spot.

ooc: Anvuss searched the area for traps and discussed it briefly with the others. That's at least 3 combat rounds IMO. He didn't take 20, as he percieved a need for speed.

ooc2: As to events in the other game, don't worry about it. We seem to have gotten past the issue (I hope.)

"Hmm. Well, let us make an attempt to use the device more constructively."

Anvuss concentrates on the missing children and Kharas, wishing that they be immediately brought to this location in good health.

[SBLOCK=Anvuss]The device doesn't deal with rational wordings--it deals with gutteral emotional desires and hopes. Does he hope to find the children and/or Kharas? What are his inner dreams and desires? Do they include being a woman? How strong are any of these. I need to know to determine how the device reacts.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=ooc]Anvuss is highly intellectual, and has difficulty reacting to things emotionally without significant stimulus. He is probably incapable of using the device under the current circumstances. His personal desires are fairly limited at the moment, and are entirely devoted to perfecting his command over magic.[/sblock]
