[SBLOCK=Aethelus]I see--does he wish for only political influence in his house? What about personal power and mastery, greater achievements and secrets of Artificing disconnected from house politics? He doesn't care about finding the children at all? There's another thing, but I can safely assume his answer to that is no.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=DM]He cares about finding them and Kharas, but his dreams would not revolve around that. I'm a little unclear on his motives, but he is working his way into the non-house affiliated Artificer community and that includes everyone involved in this adventure. He wants to be friendlier with them in hopes of discovering something to raise his own stature and position by making some advance in artifice. In essence he is very selfish, but his needs coincide with the group at the moment.
When it comes to what would he wish for, it'd be something like that. Some great secret that would elevate his stature or lead him to greater fame and fortune. So yes personal power, master, greater achievements, and secrets are all paths to the goal of advancing his stature.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=Aethelus]Works for me! He'll vanish if there is no retcon due to Kharas's actions--I'll need to wait for Velmont. I can tell for sure if there will be a retcon or not based on what he does next--as he long as he doesn't just sit around in the same place, it should be good to go.[/SBLOCK]
