"I believe certain items can increase the potency of such a mark. For that matter, certain items can produce potent effects even without a mark. Is it possible that the children might have employed such tools? Some obscure variation of a manual of golems, perhaps?"

"They're just kids...they couldn't activate any version of that sort of thing that I've ever heard about, but sure, I guess if you're going to qualify that there's some sort of unique magic item involved that they can use, then by the circular reasoning, if it exists, this is theoretical possible. Plausible? I wouldn't say so. If there was an unusual construct over by Digory's domicile that nabbed Lucy, that's fine, and it may mean there's some sort of Artificer mastermind behind it. Maybe the Lord of Blades: he was involved with that other schema we just got, so he's got agents here. Maybe he wanted to taunt Digory's lady friend--I seem to remember some bad blood between them. But I know that Noah left on his own and just never turned back up, so maybe he was nabbed off the street. With those two missing, did you check with Popplewell or Keynes?"

"Pardon me if the inquiry seems overly whimsical. It seemed potentially usefull based on the likelihood that you would know if the children might have had access to such an instrument. Clearly, you are not aware of any such. Eliminating unlikely possibilities is of course part of the path to a usefull deduction."

"For the moment, it is hard to tell, but if it is linked with Lucy, and the coincidence would be strong if it was one that Peter and Lucy have both dissapear relatively at the same time, we only need to find one to find all. I think we will see for the other two friends of Peter you just named. Maybe they will know more where Peter had teh habit to go." answers Kharas.

"Okay then, good luck. If you find my Peter, I'll make it worth your while. I know I can trust a fellow member of the House to keep this matter discreet, though, yes?" he looks at Aethelus at the last.

(OOC: Heading where now? Susie's mom Sophie is on sabbatical. You could look for Mark Keynes, though)

OOC: The kids are the best lead we have, so we will try to meet both. If Keynes will be easier to find, I see no reason not to start by him.

(OOC: Sophie Popplewell is not in Sharn, so yeah, Keynes would be easier)

*After asking around town, they find the Keynes Tailor Shop, run by tailor Mark Keynes.*

"Hello there. What can I do for you gentlemen and Warforged today?"

"Hi, it is not business that lead us here." tells Kharas, looking at the different clothing displayed "even if I migth come back for that another day. We are here because we would like to speak with Ed, your son. It happen that Lucy and Peter, two of his friends, are now missing, and there parents, concerned by there dissapreance, asked us to investigate that. As Ed was close to both Lucy and Peter, he might be of some help. Is you son here presently?"
