[Velmont]

"What happen?" as he is shooted at, he looks around seeing the guards laying in there blood. "These guards must not die... and you, calm down." And he use the device he just made on the leader to calm him.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Kharas uses his device on the guard, who is forced to calm down momentarily.*

"I am slightly perturbed by your actions. Rest assured, when your malefice ends, I will take more vigourous action," the guard says with lower-than-usual vehemence.

(OOC: Anvuss)

 

[Patlin]

Anvuss puts away his scroll and morningstar.

*Since Kharas chose to grab his device and activate it, the guard takes Kharas's dropped weapon and pockets it.*

(OOC: Kharas's turn--he must continue to concentrate or his Calm Emotions will end)

 

[Patlin]

ooc: I think Anvuss may have dropped his scroll of expeditious retreat earlier. He'll run over and retrieve it now.

 

[Velmont]

OOC: Concentration doesn,t rpevent move action, and grabbing his weapon should be one. Now, if teh guard was close enough to move and grab it, Kharas won't start to try to take it from it, but I thought the guard was farther than 30 feet from him and Anvuss... no?

(OOC: He was a double move away, and so he picked it up as part of a move action. You do have a move action though)

ooc: Can you pick up an item off the ground as part of a move action? I thought that was just for readying a sheathed weapon.

Edit: Also, wouldn't picking it up draw an AOO?

(OOC: I was wrong and he was only 20 feet away if he took move actions each turn (he did) But it does draw an AoO. Would you like to take the AoO?)

Here's the Table

There's no "2" next to "Pick up an Item." I don't think he can move 60' and pick it up, but once he moves 60' anyone who tries to pick it up will draw an AOO... almost as good, for his purposes.
