A small time drug dealer and gang member, has experience using pistols and shotguns.
Caucasian male, 22, blond hair, covered in tattoos
Violent, loud, and easily angered, he was always intelligent in school, but dropped out at a young age. Not a fan of authority and he's kind of a jerk.
Growing up in Compton, LA, life has always been hard for J Roc. His parents never had a good job, and he couldn't seem to find any job at all. At the age of 15 he joined the Crips because he felt he had nowhere else to turn. Ever since then he's loved the gang life. He felt like selling cocaine was his calling. He didn't even care the first time he had to shoot someone. He was sentenced a year in jail after getting caught with about an ounce of coke. Jail was even rougher than the streets. He was in and out of solitary confinement for fighting. One day after returning to his cell, his roommate supplied him with a shiv. That was the moment he knew he wouldn't lose the next fight. Sure enough, that fight quickly came, and J didn't hesitate to stab the fool. The moment of that stabbing was the same moment a year inside became ten. The rest of his sentence was relatively quiet. Ever since he's been out he's quickly gone back to his old habits.
Upon his release he was promoted to boss status, earning the right to start his own set. That was when the white boys in Compton became something. He founded the first set of all white Crips, the Rittz Rugers. His set quickly rose to power on the streets under his leadership. Moving kilos every day and escalating the gang warfare to a level not seen in years, the police quickly took notice, but they could never seem to catch J Roc. He seemed untouchable, even after he killed three cops in an attempted bust they couldn't seem to find him. He was always one step ahead of them, he was so sly, the other OGs started referring to him as the white fox. With no tolerance for his enemies, he was outraged to find out that another set was moving in in his territory, a set called the Sons in Scarlet, of the Bloods. Him and two of his most promising soldiers decided it was past time to deliver some payback, so they hopped in the car with their guns and headed to Sons territory...
J Roc and his crew headed down to Sons territory to exact some payback against them for pushing in on his territory. Not ten seconds after pulling up into their block he could already see ten of the fools, they didn't even seem to pay attention when a car pulled onto the street. Seemingly unnoticed in enemy territory they pulled the car into an empty lot and got out. They walked to the street and spotted three of the punks. "Okay guys, don't pull weapons until you hear mine pop." He walks up to the group, pulls out his Beretta, and pistol whips the first of the group before he even says a word. Then he shoots the second, his homies didn't even hesitate to shoot the third.
He nods to his homie, Stacks by name, after noticing his smoking gun. Then they heard yelling coming down the street, upon looking over they see about 20 Sons running their way, all with guns. "Run into that alley!" he yells, running into the alley and ducking behind the dumpster. Stacks makes it behind the dumpster, but the third, Ruckus, gets gunned down before turning into the alley. As soon as they come in sight J Roc shoots 4 of them before running down the alley away from the group. Behind them he hears Stacks shoot 2 more before running behind him. Turning out of the alley he shoots 3 more, then watched Stacks shoot another one before being gunned down himself. Now alone and in enemy territory, he runs around the block, shooting three more on the way. Reaching the lot where they left the car he shoots one more, then realises he is out of ammo.
Running for his life, he makes it into the car without getting shot.He starts to pull out of the lot when he sees what looks like a fiery ring appear over the Sons chasing him. He then sees what looks like a monstrous arm reaching out of the flaming ring...
The ring of fire was about 10-15 feet in diameter, suspended 5 feet above the ground. The center of the circle was a shiny black sheen that rippled slightly and J Roc could not see the through it. In the darkness of night, lit only by the house lights and few street lamps than hadn't been shot out, the flames illuminated the area.
No one could miss the spectacle. Half of the Sons stopped and stared. The others took a few more steps and slowed after hearing a few mutter, "What the fu-?"
The arm was followed by an attached an 8-foot tall, black skinned creature with large bat-like wings. Its skin was scaly and it had a lizard-like tail, feet that ended with clawed toes. Its head was roughly humanoid, except really ugly with a larger nose and a mouth full of teeth that could not be contained inside. It possessed malevolent eyes with red pupils. There were horns coming out of the back of its head and beside a pair little pointed ears.
It was followed by two more and they flew straight into the gaggle of Sons, scattering and knocking the gangers down like bowling pins. Chaos ensued with guns going off, inhuman roars, and more than a few torn off limbs flying through the air.
Witnessing this beast tear apart this most hated rival gang brought a smile to J Roc's face- until he realized he could very well be next. He had no bullets, so he decided he certainly could not try to fight this creature if he even wanted to. He started the car and tried to drive away from the massive beast. He made it about 20 feet away before crashing into another car that pulled out of a driveway in front of him. He wasn't hurt in the crash, but he couldn't get the car to start again either.
Realizing this might be the day he was going to die, he got out of the car and started to run. He made it to a car parked on the side of the road getting ready to pull away, he quickly pulled the driver out and threw them on the ground. After getting into the newly stolen vehicle, he saw four cop cars drive past him towards the black-skinned creature...
The gun fire had calmed down back where the Sons were. But in the darkness there was not much to see except the muzzle flashes anyway.
When the cops arrived, the skidded to halts and parked at slants to block of the road and sidewalks. The were using their loud speakers and called for a halt and to freeze. Like that was going to actually do anything. Then a voice accidentally muttered, "Oh, sh-!"
It was followed by shotguns going off and pistols firing. There were more inhuman roars and screams.
Another voice of they loud speaker exclaimed, "Crap! Those things fly! What the hell are they?"
"Look out! There are more of them!"
There were more popping cracks of handguns, interspersed with the distinctive booms of shotguns.
Looking back over his shoulder to try and see what was going on, he realised he couldn't see anything but the gunshots in the distance. He turned back to look at the road just in time to realise he was about to smash into a telephone pole. He tried turning the car, but only managed to smash sideways into the pole and flip the car. He ignored the pain of the crash and pulled himself from the wreckage.
With no other vehicles around to speak of he barreled through the door of a nearby house. When the homeowner tried stopping him, it only made him angry. He beat the owner into submission and asked him if he owned any guns. Pointing to a nearby wall safe he spat out the combination in a rush. J Roc opened the safe to find a Glock inside, along with some cash. Being the gangster he was he took the gun and the money and dove out a nearby window to see a car in the next driveway. He kicked in the door to find a man with his arm cocked back ready to punch him.
He accepted the blow to the face and retaliated with several blows to the man's face and body. The man seemingly submitting, J Roc demanded his car keys. The man complied, handing over his keys and then shouting after him "The cops are gonna hear about this!"
J Roc turned around and shot the man dead, saying "They aren't gonna hear about it from you." He ran out of the house and got into the vehicle, then sped off back towards his home.
Alright, let's take a step back instead of continuing a scene that looks to be over. We can work through the issues one at a time.
What redeeming qualities does J Roc have that would bring him to be recruited to fight the demons 6 months after D-Day?
Having some combat skills would not be enough, there would have to be some personality traits too. I figure he could work if he was more like Pope from Falling Skies on his good days (not when he became a complete tool in the last season).
