Help with Achiving Web Pages

Heya,

I'm looking for a program that I can use to save webpages easily. I know that people did that when the forums moved last so that there were backups, and I was hoping someone might be able to point me towards one of them... I'm looking to save my Hotmail messages to my hard drive easily and with a minimum of fuss.

Many thanks,

There's a few ways...

1. Click File->Save As->Click on type and pick Web Archive -- For single pages its ok. This works best if you do a print preview
2. This program will copy everything into a directory and makes a copy of the web page. This is a good way to get more then one page(I used it for Soriel's SRD and picts from Wizards).
3. Use Outlook as it can check Hotmail accounts and then export your inbox. There are a few file formats you can choose I think tab deliminated and some others.

The easiest will probably be the first or third. The second is really only for webpages, but a good program none the less.

I don't use Outlook, since I lost a lot of archived e-mail when it decided to go psycho on me a few years back. The second is more the approach I would take, but I know there are (or were) programs where you pointed it to a specific page, and it got that page and everything one click in. I recall members of the boards using them when we switched over... maybe a year or two ago? I was hoping someone could throw me a link to one of those programs.

NM, I gave the program another look, and it will do what I want, I think. Many thanks!

Alright, an update.

Unfortunately, Hotmail (or the program) is being obstinate, and I can't get the program to download my e-mails. Apparently form-based log-in doesn't work so well with the program, which Hotmail conveniently uses.

So I think a bit, and decide to use OE to hook to Hotmail. Apparently, that doesn't want to work either. Since I've set up everything correctly, I can only conclude the problem is on Hotmail's end. Which still leaves me up the creek.

I really don't want to manually save and rename approximately 500 e-mails. If anyone else knows any solutions I would be very grateful.
