I don't get why people like Kender Ace.

It was a joke ability where you couldn't pull out an useful item most of the time, and the most useful item to pull out (gold) was only useful for fraud, unless you are playing in Kyrnn where it is also actively useless.

If it worked like Minor Conjuration, but with "What have I got in my pocket today?" fluff then yes, it could have worked. But as published, it was just bad.

I expect my complaints about power creep and feat trees will be drowned out by players screaming for more power.

Well, assuming thst folding it into Core is on their radar, the more data they have, the better their decision making process can go.

Oh, yeah, it's in like Flynn. But by the time all is said and done, they will have oodles of data pointing to people liking the change. The opposite of some random, out of left field change to Core, as people have felt in prior Editions. Even folks who don't care for it won't be surprised by 2024.
