All the pieces I made yesterday together, with a small party about to get a nasty surprise!!! The portcullis has fallen behind them with only a closed door between them and some skellies! ;)

Oh, one note... some of the Mage Knight Dungeon kits make for great Dungeon Dressing for these Molds. You can see two pillars from one of the sets in the last photo.

Will, your work is superb! I'd wish my first building was half as good as yours... Go on, man, and keep posting pics!

*BLUSH* :o ... Thanks Horacio! I don't know what to say!! ;). Since Friday and Monday are days off this week I am hoping to get alot done with my next bits. This time I want to incorporate some of the more advanced pieces from the more complex Mold. Since I don't know how it all fits together (that mold doesn't have any real instructions ;)) I'll let you know how it goes!!! Quite looking forward to it, and if the weather is good this weekend, you'll see the bits I already done get their paint job (which could ruin them since I'm not 100% convinced the paint I bought was right... sometimes the translation into German can be tricky)

For the paint, my advise, go to an arts shop and buy acrylics (always acrylics, not oil based, acrylics clean up with water :) ) pictures. Cheap ones work well, but maybe they have less pigment and you need several layers. Don't worry.

One remark, be sure the plaster is dry before painting :)

Well if you've used them and they come out good, then I'll give that a shot. I prefer to paint with Acrylics anyhow. ;)

Acrylics are, IMHO, thge best way to paint miniatures and almost any hobby related item (like buildings). Oil based paints are smelly and difficult to use, you need bizarre chemic products to clean or dilute the paint and so on...

I've heard that a lot of people use regular old Latex house paint for their scenery. Mostly because it is really much cheaper for the coverage, but also because a lot of them also work with foam for much of their scenery and some paints can "shrivel" styrofoam...or so I've heard. Just my two cents on that, anyway.

Keep those photos coming, btw. I'm enjoying them immensely and thank you. :)
