Those are the kind of experiences I generally just try to forget. I've gotten pretty good at it, too. I don't remember anything - period - from prior to fifth grade. The few times I've seen a psychologist, they've named that a problem, but considering how not-fond of psychologists I am, I've never stuck around long enough for them to explain...

Ok, I'll grant you that one. Especially since one of my best friends is aspiring in that direction. I've just more often tended to be on the "seeing them" side of things, and I don't like that much. I know that I have problems, and I'll deal with them without professional help, thank you very much.

I think they are good in some cases. My mother really needs to go and see one, just so she can get over her divorce that happened over ten years ago.

My dislike stems mostly from a trust issue. Psychologists generally require the patient to talk about relatively personal things, and it normally takes a lot longer than "hi, my name is Dr. So-and-so, care to talk to me?" for me to trust someone enough to sit and really go into all the specifics. So...

Ok, and - well, not on that note, 'cause it's not at all related, but still - I'm heading off to bed. It's 1:30 here, and I'm very sleepy. Got up at 7:30, which is earlier than I have in a long while, and I need to get up then again tomorrow. It's been nice talking. G'night, peoples.
