I have found that some of the players who like fighters are POed that they have to take a Light/Medium/or Heavy Cod Piece Proficiency...

But did they use to gain much benefit from Buff Spells outside of combat and do they now use them outside of combat for "recon" and other pursuits?

Yeah, they were useful hors-de-combat because they were buffing stats that applied to their skills a lot. Especially the sneaky guys with cranked Dex and the front-man with cranked Cha.

But was that just a side benefit after Buffing for combat, or did they purposefully Buff for other reasons at times?
