I believe it begins on the 25th of this month.
24th, it looks like. Bugger. I'm very bored now - read, unemployed for the summer - but it's now too late to run off to that. Hmm... anyone know of anyplace to look up cons on a broader scale?

How goes it here at Hivemind. I have not visited in quite a while.
Not sure. My first day back too, more or less. MIA for four months. How've you been?

Note - I'm back a day and I'm already cursing the 60-second rule again. Good times. :)

Its been rough in truth. My dependable full time job that supported a family of four has become unreliable and part-time. My wife got a part time job and I just got word that I was accepted for my second part-time job.

I spent the majority of April building an epic level adventure series for a local con based on the comicbook Avengers and had to drop out because of money.

Moral has been low for me. Lowest since 9th grade (bad sign since I was suicidal then).

I just try to get through and have decided to get back into Story Hour and other net stuff.

Sorry to hear, Mega. The job market isn't looking good for lots of people right now, but it doesn't sound like it's a whole lot of fun for you, either. Not that it helps any, but best of luck.

2d6 - the Hivemind is theoretically a branch of the big P-kitty's mind. :) Really, it's a group of people who started a slightly off-topic thread in Meta that got to be pretty busy - busy enough that three people managed 1000 posts overnight. It's since been moved to General, and more people dropped in. It's a kinda off-topic, chatty thread with lots of great people. Welcome.

Kinda an open forum to just talk about things a bit. Usually DnD but not always. Sometimes it gets into the things "behind" the gaming. Why people are people and that kinda thing. During the winter months it was very busy here...now it seems to be rather quiet.

I'm sure one of the originators could explain it better. Arwink was around. He was one of the five first founding members. I only stumbled onto it around January.

Yuppers - along with Crothian, Dragongirl, and Horacio. I'm not sure how number five is - I used to know, but now I'm not too sure. Tallarn had a great "Introduction to the Hivemind" webpage, but I've lost the link.

Yay! Looks like EN Publishing are going to take up Steam & Steel :) Now I just need to get the final draft done...

"And I don't understand why I sleep all day,
and I start to complain when there's no rain;
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake,
and it rips my life away but it's a great escape;
Escape, escape, escaaaape..."

If we're really a branch off of P-kitty's mind maybe that song'll get stuck in his head now.
