Truly amazing. I'm not a veteran greyhawk'er but I've read the later GH books. The stuff on this site would be enough to start a campaign.

i remember those days. i wasn't in the WoG (they always preferred "WoG" to "GH") in-crowd, but i knew a bunch of them. yep, those were the days, what like at least 5-6 years ago...? BOZ was once KBoz74 of AOL land.

Oh yeah, I guess I hadn't noticed how almost everybody has switched to just saying GH. WoG was the preferred norm at the time.

I don't consider myself part of the Old Guard either. I think I would have had to been around for the 1st edition for that. It was a really cool feeling when I did track down a long out of print adventure like the ToEE or the any of the Slave Lord modules, and getting the original, tattered, and yellowed 83' boxed set felt like I was digging into some long lost lore.

My old Aol screename, even before GeoMoLe, was "Barbarian." I guess I was using that in 94' and 95,' but even still, the fact that I was able to register that name without appending some number or further detail was very surprising.

I really liked the layout of TSR's old Aol site. Remember how one of the menu window had a picture of Raistlin sitting, very coldly behind a desk crammed with magic miscellaney? Ahh the great geeky memories of my high school years .

Being much to sophisticated to ever use AOL , I didnt participate in the Greyhawk Archives on AOL. However, GreyTalk was an email based correspondence and therefore available to non-AOL users and I participated in that for a time. Many of the same notables as were found in the AOL archives are also found in GreyTalks author lists.....

Now that WoG (reviving a trend) is not on the dying fringe like it once was, many of the same people who were a part of the Oerth Journals contribute to Living Greyhawk. Check out the LG articles in Dragon, they're pretty good.
