D&D (2024) Homebrew Origin Feats

Eubani

Legend
As discussed in the Background Homebrew thread I started earlier it has arisen several times that a lack of Origin Feats has curtailed the ability to create backgrounds. So here we are, a space to knock our heads together and come up with some origin feats to help with the process. Let's get started.

Push On
Origin Feat
  • You can engage in Heavy labor or force march for and extra 2 hours before you gain your first point of exhaustion, after which you gain exhaustion at a normal pace.
  • As an action you can dig deep and gain a number of Temporary hit Points equal to your Character Level + Constitution Modifier. This cannot be done again till after you have completed a long rest.

Driven
Origin Feat
  • When you take this feat choose a skill or tool proficiency, when you choose roll heroic inspiration for this skill or tool you can do so when you fail a roll instead of immediately after rolling.
  • Once per day when you successfully roll the chosen skill or tool proficiency without heroic inspiration you gain heroic inspiration

This feat can be taken multiple times each time for a different skill or tool proficiency.

Legend
It might be worth considering that while they are not called "origin" feats, the following feats were granted by backgrounds at level 1 and can be used as origin feats (or templates for making new ones)

Rune Shaper (Bigby)
Strike of the Giants (Bigby)
Initiate of High Sorcery (Dragonlance)
Squire of Solomnia (Dragonlance)
Scion of the Outer Planes (Planescape)
Strixhaven Initiate (Strixhaven)

Strive to Protect
Origin Feat
When an ally you can see becomes bloodied as a reaction you can move up to half your movement. This movement must end you closer to the bloodied ally. This movement can only be made once per a round.

those are alpha versions of origin feats, 1st try to give feats through optional backgrounds, so it makes sense to be included in 2024 list.

I'm not able to parse this.

Could you re-write it using terminology and syntax from the game?
