Where's the beef? That's mostly fiddly stuff. Of the rest, either it hadn't been added yet, or it was also true of OD&D. Despite the preface at the beginning of the post, I do not see that any sacred cows were harmed in the making of BECMI D&D.

Minis are good for keeping the violence organised because real DMs care about who does what to whom.

Real DMs own better rules that allow them to not need to care so much about this and instead be able to care more for more important things.
