Did they show hightower? Where was he? It took away longer to show him than I figured it would. Also, the further from last night, the more I hate this massive set up and waiting. It's so manipulative.

It's so manipulative.
It really is not.

It's basic good writing. Getting mad about it is just ridiculous and means essentially you want bad writing.

This is wish-fulfilment shite like the MCU has done to us, I swear to god.

If you want to hate something, hate on the fact that they can't/won't start shooting the new series until those one has been released and judged successful because it's so expensive, and thus S3 won't start shooting until early 2025, and thus won't be out until like mid-2026.

They did just mention him a few episodes ago, so that makes sense since I am pretty sure it was the Hightower troops the dragon was flying with.
It was the Hightower troops and given they brought him up and him having a dragon this episode even, and this dragon was clearly a new and different dragon (being bright blue), yeah that was 100% him. I don't think they've even cast the role yet.

Also hooray for Abigail Thorn from PhilosophyTube and Kill James Bond! appearing, she was a lot of fun as the captain of the pirate (?) fleet.

All we know is that he is in a jail of some kind.
It looked like he was befuddledly staring up at someone with a torch, in a jail, yeah. So presumably he was captured by someone on the way back to Hightower?

Ahhh I see a showrunner interview confirms this - we don't know what this cell is or how he ended up there. He's supposed to be in Hightower (or whatever their castle is called, I forget) but he ain't.

I know she only mentioned Aegon needing to die to Alicent, so not sure what her plan was for Aemond and Vhagar.
Earlier in the same conversation she implied they'd intercept/ambush and destroy Vhagar with the dragons, but it was slightly oblique so I can see how it would be missed, and she didn't specify killing Aemond but I think she took that as read. She clearly means to spare Helaena at this time.

Yeah, I saw earlier today the showrunner said they’ll begin production early next year so probably at best early 2026 release. It was also said they currently see the show being 4 seasons, so we’ll see how this ends in 2028?
