use reach weapons or ranged weapons.
Reach weapons require feats, but so do ranged weapons if you want them effective.
Reach weapon of choice is exotic, spiked chain. other than that these feats are good combat reflexes(with a rogues high dex really effective), and expert tactician, weapon finesse spiked chain.
Ranged style point blank, rapid shot, precise shot, weapon focus bow of choice.(consider taking one level of ranger it gives acess to bigger bows, two weapon style, track, and shields though an animated shield rocks)
Reach style lets you flank at range of 10', which can be brutal, it lets you get lots of AoO, and if hidden, flanking, improved invis, or blinking these can be sneak attacks.
Ranged attacks are less in the sneak attack ways, but read the various archers are uber threads and you shoudl see with the good dex a rogue should have this wont suck. Even after the 1st round of sneak attacks you wont be plinking innefectively, no more so than any other archer at least. Until high elvels the AB differenc between you and a fighter type is nelgligible.
Whether ranged or reach consider tkaing 1 level of shadowdancer forthe uber ceese HIPS. this lets you get alot more hide based sneak attacks in a fight, and since its hide based its harder to disrupt than invisibility.
Also boost your UMD skill, buy wands of blink, invis, knock, enervation and other useful things. This lets you get more sneak attacks, and get sneak attacks from unusual sources, a fire based sneak attack, a energy drained one etc. vulnerable creatures will be brutalized.
