I mentioned that before. It works for coastal/island hopping campaign only.

I mean, you get teleport at 9th level, so...
Can you teleport a castle at 9th level? I've never seen magic like that, or something creating a flying citadel, as anything less than ritual or even epic magic.

Or if you prefer, what about some kind of airship? Level Up has rules for those. No coast required.

I'm just saying that is the level that somewhat serious teleport magic comes into play.

hmm, yes, but weight limit is a lot lower for airship than a (regular)ship. Unless we again use magic.

something that could be done in D&D general setting(mostly):
cargo 5000t

cargo 232t

that is a big difference.

If you are considering an airship, I assume magic is a factor.

Just like its a factor in a teleporting (or walking) castle.

Nothing there to say the bastion can’t be levelled to the ground. As with the attack event, the NPCs can all be killed and the facilities all destroyed. The player hasn’t “lost” the bastion, they are still the proud owner of a smoking hole in the ground.
A facility damaged by an attack comes back online automatically after one turn. I really don't want to be the one "defending" the bastion rules, but I feel like people aren't reading the whole thing through and I'm not going to copy+paste the entire chapter here.

The "bastion can't be destroyed" thing isn't a joke or exaggeration. With the exceptions of what I noted earlier re: Fall of a Bastion, a Bastion can't be lost. Your Bastion being attacked is at worst a temporary inconvenience.
