That's not much of a poll, considering that there are over a dozen "I don't like 4e!" options, and only two that are positive towards 4e. And one of those, "I was going to go to the new edition no matter what", is a bit leading.

I didn't vote, because there's no "I like what I've seen of 4e and will be switching" option.

I have to agree with the 'skewed poll' crowd.

I ended up picking 'I dont know yet but Im getting the 4e core books to make an informed descision.' because I'm rarely the DM in my tabletop group (and that's only been in SWSE, not D&D), but based on what I currently know, I'm in favor of moving to 4e (though if our tabletop group does switch, we'll probably hold off until PH2 and the Eberron books).

Cant say Im really suprised by those that are going to switch no matter what.
I seem to have neglected the "Im totally psyched and excited about 4e." Option. Sorry for those that like what they are seeing, it was an oversight on my part.

Im going to get the core books and still play 3.5.

Add another "my opinion is not reflected in the poll."

My attitude goes something like this:

Initially skeptical. We are having fun with 3.5 and this is clearly a money grab by WotC.

Then the more I read, the more interested I became.

Tried a playtest using the quickstart rules and one of the modules here on enworld. Liked what I saw.

Went back and played 3.5 and had a new appreciation for the elements that, while they make sense and are logical, are just not playable. The slowness of 3.5, especially at higher levels, is awful. And the reliance on your gear vs. your abilities. And the 15 minute workday.

Now more and more excited about 4e and my group is definitely planning to switch. Only thing I am not crazy about so far is marking.
