You have conventiently not included any answers that are positive about 4E - the most positive answer is: "I was going to go to the new edition no matter what" - which including the "no matter what" statement is really a loaded answer, like I'm gonna hurl myself under a bus.

Try including an answer like: "I'm wildly enthusiastic about 4E and am counting the days till release". You're poll is terrible.

ehhh....if Wizards had announced a new edition that would fix all our woes about 3.x but gave NO previews of anything until the release date, I'm sure the percentage of people jumping over to 4E would be pretty close to as if they were informed. People were that fed up with 3.5 is why.

Ah, let's stop all this
pansy/angsty "uh-oh, a biased poll, I don't find a good answer for me".

I choose to be a Lemming! I liked the old Lemmings computer game. I just hope I am not becoming a Blocker, they would always explode in the end and never got to do anything nice... :(

There isn't an option for: I was excited when I heard about 4e and have become more so since the previews & playtests.

I've got them pre-ordered and I'm eagerly awaiting the 6th.

Hmmmm...... no option for my situation.

1) Hated idea of 4e & DDi, thought it was money grab.
2) Started reading preview stuff - became interested
3) More I read more I wanted 4e
4) After some PHB Lite tests thought it was very good
5) Thought 4e was going to be great, preordered books
6) After reviews of KotS became a little disheartened
7) Gleemax issues + web discussion = a little more disheartened
8) Currently cautiously optimistic, looking forward to 4e, think Gleemax and DDi will bo ok but not great (I probably won't subscribe)

I'm a lemming because the new edition is solving most of the problems I had independently come to hate in 3.5? Either way, if I play 4E or not, I'm quitting 3.5, and I haven't bought a 3.5 book in two years.

Lemming answer polls even when their true feelings aren't expressed. Independent thinkers will voice their concerns when the poll doesn't include any viable answers that reflect their perspective.

I'll happily embrace the "was going to switch no matter what" entry.

I liked the material WOTC released at the end of the 3e line, and near the time of the announcement of 4e. I felt they were pretty competent game designers. There was a moment of hesitation, a moment where I thought, and I quote, "But there's so much left to do with Tome of Battle!" But then they basically said, "4e takes a lot of lessons from Tome of Battle, and incorporates it into the rules directly instead of as a pasted on supplement." And I was on board from there.

Its possible that I could have been knocked off board as more information came out, but it didn't seem very likely and I didn't lose any sleep over it.

Maybe, but maybe not?

I know that there was a lot in 3E I did not like that much. But I never cared to fix much of it. (Though I switched to DMing Iron Heroes). And no other game system seemed to give me a similar overall positive game experience with 3E. But when I began reading the previews (especially the books) and the discussions on ENWorld, all the negative aspects became "more in the face" then ever before, and I was getting more and more excited on 4E.

Honestly, I think I like a large amount of what I read so far, and I'm all for house-ruling whatever I don't like. But yeah, it's not a definite yet, so being informed = making the best decision.

Count me in with the people who can't find an option that suits our case.

I was getting sick of 3.x and was intrigued to hear about a new edition, bu t ready to be disappointed. Not so. I love almost everything about 4E and look forward to it. I certainly wasn't going to "get it no matter what" but I can't wait for it to come out.
