How do you sign your name?

My signature is not my name. It is a series of scribbles that originally followed the digits of a number (this many strokes in this direction, this many in the other direction... ) but I don't even remember the name anymore. Though two custom symbols representing my family name are hidden between the scribble, and like fifteen years ago I started placing my initials on top. (One of them is a triangular capital A mixed with parts of a triskelion that is barely legible as an A)

For myself, I rarely sign anything the same way twice.

If I look at my SS card I signed in cursive when I was 10, it's a full name, and legible; but looks like it was signed by a 10 y/o. About 20 years a made a conscious effort to not have a consistent signature so I shortened it to my first initial and my last name for a total of 5 unique illegible letters. I'm pretty certain no one could make it out but if someone tried to forge it, it has telltale characteristics of my handwriting that they'd be caught in about 10 seconds if analyzed by a handwriting expert.

(On a side note, whenever I write a double "T" (words like kettle, etc.) I always write it as a pi symbol instead...)

Same here. If I have to fill out an application, or questionnaire I usually just use print, but it's usually a hodge podge of upper and lower case with some cursive thrown in. Because I took technical drawing in high school and college, then got a job as a Drafter/Mechanical Designer It's pretty neat and legible but has gotten sloppier over the years. It's been so long since I've had to use handwriting on a consistent basis, maybe 2-3 times a year, that my hand cramps up and hurts afterwards.

When I was working in an After School Care program, I had to sign in about 50 kids at a time. My signature ended up being a single initial.

I have refused to write cursive (except for Russian - long story) for over 40 years, and to read it for about ten.

My signature started out as my name in cursive but, over the years, it morphed into a barely representative squiggle of my name. Easy for me to repeat. A little tough for someone else to fake.

I have to E-sign contracts via work on occasion. I have a cursive-written name saved I can just click drop into those documents. On paper I use cursive thats fairly legible. For those electronic use your finger deals its a bunch of loops that are entirely illegible.

Clear legible cursive first initial then starts to trail off, but always add a nice strong cross to the "t" in my last name.

But...as a kid I tried various ways to make the "C" at the start of my name a dragon when I was writing my name in game books.
