D&D (2024) How extensive (if any) will be the PHB errata?

I think there is an option for updates that I hesitate to discuss because it's going to seem "clickbaity." Personally, I would expect errata and updates to be similar to last edition where they are few in number and people ask for more of them than you ever see.

The controversial option is that they will take a 4E-esque option. In 4E, there were frequent updates to powers because of the online character builder. If this edition is going to fully go into the online option, I think you will see a lot of updates presented in this fashion. The idea is that if D&D Beyond is going to be the cornerstone of play, you can have micro-updates to individual spells or other game elements. I expect that a lot of YouTube personalities will be expecting this option, but I have no idea if they will actually do it. So before you want to bring torches and pitchforks against this idea, I'll say that I have no idea if that will actually be the case.

I must have missed this in the 4,832 recent threads about 5e24.

What are people claiming about the nick property?
It's just confusing on its own, where understanding it requires parsing the phrasing in both the Nick property and Light property, and then it can have even more complex nuances when you pair it with Extra Attack, Dual Wielder feat, Two-Weapon Fighting fighting style, Action Surge, Haste spell, etc, not to mention shenanigans with stowing/switching weapons. There's just a whole lot to consider

I've noticed, in the preview, that there were a lot of improvements on many things, but some spells have still errors and some "bad" combo seems to exists. Knowing the modus operandi of WotC, do you think they will release an errata, or they wait a little before doing it?
They'll probably wait a bit.

Do you think, based on previews, that something need to be patched ASAP (thinking also for the Adventure League, to prevent the organized play to have the "invincible build").
It's also possible that some of the Previews were from an earlier draft, and a few things (missing words or such) were fixed before the final publication. I'm not holding my breath or anything, but it's possible.

Or they wait for some other publication? Like they did for the coffeelock via Xanathar?
They'll probably do that, too - but I wouldn't be surprised if we have some explanations for what they were thinking regarding things like how Stealth works, or the like.

The only 2 things that need errata IMO.

Two weapon fighting: needs to add "Wilding 2 light weapons".
-RAI was posted on here and is pretty clear. Though even with full shenanigans, your not getting much.

Hide: needs to lose the invisible condition when "you aren’t Heavily Obscured or behind any Cover."
-RAI is harder to determine, but that part was in the earlier playtest and got lost when they combined Hidden and Invisible into a single condition.

I'd expect a few...
Those are mostly opinions and combo's.

Not necessarily problems.

If you care whatsoever about raw (why tho) you're better often waiting to buy.
For me, it’s more a matter of a) I don’t like to mark up my books and b) having to refer to a separate piece of paper with errata on it when reading the book is annoying.

So I think I will wait to get the physical books until they’ve been updated. I’m hoping maybe they’ll do a core book box set for next Christmas that will include any errata in the text.

In the meantime, I’ll just use the DDB versions, which will get updated automatically.

Shenanigans that can easily solved by the DM casting "Bigby's Cuffing Backhand" on their players.
As Bronn of the Blackwater once famously said. “There’s no cure for being a”

Cracks me up that folks would actually have players with the cheek to even suggest attacking, sheathing the weapon, drawing another weapon and attacking. With one hand to get around the fact that they only have two hands.
