How long has it been in-between tabletop games?

I'm curious to see how long it’s been for some of my fellow ENworlders... Unfortunately not all of us can make it to the weekly game, or monthly game, so honestly how long has it been since you've done any RPG in person with at least one other person?

For me it's been since August 1996... :\ Can anyone beat that? (Would anyone want to be that..? )

Anyhow: no poll on this as it just seems like the answers would be to hard to group like that.

If you do play regularly: What was the longest you went?

1996-2000 because I moved to Florida and found it to be non-gamer friendly for awhile, Since 2000, I've had 3 groups that have disintegrated for various reasons. I'm working on Group 4, but we are slowly spiraling downwards. Damn real life!!!

I think it's been about a year or so. I've had one or two opportunities to run a game in that period but I've been waiting to put the finishing touches on a world I'm building.

Until this past weekend it had been 4 months since I'd been able to run a game. I'd played for the first time in the same 4 month period the weekend before though (but it's still about 4 months). Damn school work getting in the way.

And I´m afraid that there will be no playing during this long summer. Perhaps we will resume gaming in september/october. I´ll have to get into online gaming somehow..

... I hate to say it, but I've got you beat. Summer 95 was my last rpg gaming experience. I moved away from my gaming group and never found another. Sad really.

Our groups seems to go in runs then have a fairly long stretch between. At one point earlier this year we got in three session in eight weeks. Now I am in the middle of a ten week drought. Its tough with 8 players, three of us with wife and young kids, one who is a nurse who has to work alternate weekends, and one who has been working on her PhD. It might get easier soon since our PhD student is getting her degree soon and, unfortunately, is moving out of state, along with her husband, another player.

The last time I actually played a tabletop RPG was... *momentary flash back* - Oh yes, back in the summer (2003), everyday for a week straight. I sadly haven't played since then.
