How many folks are still playing/running 3e?

I am mainly curious because despite the activities on this web site and others I read, I am seeing some local scenes that are quite different than the "community" I am seeing on the interwebs. I am also interested in broadening my horizons in the arena of 3.x source material from 3pp (I own as much of the 1pp source I want). So I also intend to use these thread as kind of a laundry list of things to check out.

So if you are playing 3e, tell me how often, as a player or a DM, and what source materials you are using, and any other information that is pertinent to your game please.

We're playing in Ptolus. 3.5 core with complete books, but other things considered if they fit your character.

6 players, and a DM for a total of 7. No interest in switching to 4e, although if this one ends we may consider pathfinder. We're also planning on adding a 7th player to this game.

Currently gaming with a HomeBrew world, using 2nd Ed, 3rd, 3.5 Ed setting.

The Dm is French, and the world, was created around 25 years ago.

My second Homebrew game, but a first for D&D.

I enjoy the setting very much, and yes, he has tried to bring up 4E materials (concerning Eberron) subject discussions (they don't last more than 3 minutes or less).

No interest in 4E, none bought since it's release. (A small, a very small number of folks I know personally has bought some books, but no one, no one within our gaming community, are not gaming on a regular basic with 4E, a dozen plus in body).

My gaming group is on summer hiatus, but when we return to gaming in October we'll be going back to our modified 3.0 game. I added stuff from other sources (Arcana Evolved and a bunch of small press stuff) but never did the sidestep to 3.5. This game has been going on for a number of years, with no real plans to stop.

Well, that's not entirely true. We may start alternating between that game and a Gaslight game. I have to check with the group to see if they like the idea. Also, this Christmas we are doing a one off game of the original Traveller to mark the 30th anniversary of my getting into RPGs. I get to play in that one, not run it!

Still running my Gaia's Dream homebrew (see sig) in lightly houseruled 3.5E. I have six regular biweekly players and the campaign is going stronger than ever. I don't forsee an end to the campaign any time soon, and 3.5/OGL will continue to be my homebrew edition of choice whether we are playing in Gaia or Golarion with Pathfinder stuff.

Also enjoying 4E in public play, and appreciating all the 'tech polish that WotC has thrown at the new edition with DDI and Character Builder (what a fantastic application!). I have hopes of starting a dungeon-crashing "RP lite" storyline in 4E within the next 3 months or so, as I am quite taken with many of the new edition's innovations (particularly monster design, with immediate reaction abilities and nifty swift/minor actions per round for many monsters) and I've ported some of it backwards into 3.5.

I run a weekly 3.5 game, though am presently taking a brief break from DMing while someone else runs another 3.5 game (which I play in). It's a long running campaign, during which time we,ve played Red Hand of Doom and Expedition to the Demonweb Pits, plus a bunch of other bits.

As for source material, well I shouldn't imagine I'm going to run out any time over the next 20 years or so. I've got all but 1 of the 3.* Dungeon mags, plus all WoTC and Paizo adventures, plus their APs. I've also got all of the DCCs (some in print, but mostly in PDFs), most of the Monkey God stuff, and a ton of Necromancer stuff (again, both mainly in PDFs), plus more I can't remember. In short, I have loads. I also write a whole bunch of stuff myself.

Looks like I didn't post yet - weird!

I'm still running a 3E campaign that started over 5 years ago. Average character level is almost 13 now. Since we're only playing about once a month I expect the campaign will not finish before the end of 2010.

We'll give 4E a first try next month. But I don't expect to convert my campaign to 4E. I'd rather bring it to a close early.

I also got my Pathfinder RPG book two days ago - hefty! I'm not expecting to actually use it, but I like to be prepared. Since it already has a German publisher, maybe one of my players will pick it up as a DM.

I believe I bought a trilogy you wrote. :)

I know what you mean, I've got all the goodman games 3e modules (including Castle WhiteRock), all of War of the Burning Sky, Rappan Athuk Reloaded and a ton of Necromancer modules, Most of the Monkey Gods ones, the Freeport Trilogy, Return to Temple of Elemental Evil, Warlords of the Accordlands Campaign Adventure, AEG's Adventure I compilation, Dungeons of Castle Blackmoor, and a smattering of others. I'm not going to run out of 3e adventures anytime soon.
