How much damage?

i got a question about this, how does the mage make his opposed grapple check (using his strength and BAB) vs the barbarian, without touching said barbarian with his hands?

easy. the barbarian has his arms wrapped around the little mage, squeezing him. the mage's hands are pushed down by his side. in a pathetic attempt he tries extending his arms (to push the barbarian's arms out from around him).

*shrugs* its rules. dont try to explain it in reality or you'll spontaneously combust

well, not quite, the barbarian must first succeed at an opposed grapple check in order to have his arms around the mage. in order to make his counter check he has to use his hands, unless you want to say that he's using escape artist instead. but then that might be trying to apply too much "realism" to the rules.
