How often do you play?

I used to do pbp/pbem games updated daily on weekdays and go to once a year cross-country guys gaming weekend get togethers with friends.

I'm currently on hiatus from pbp games and I've joined a face to face group that meets every other week.

In both games I'm in, it's often "Every two weeks", but sometimes you'll have three weeks between sessions.

We're every two weeks in theory, but in reality, probably every three weeks. We had some downtime late last year that brings our average down a bit too.

Taking a break from D&D, but before Christmas we played twice a month and the HMB game I plan on starting soon will likely be that often, as well.

We play RPGs once a week, whether D&D, WoD, Serenity or what have you. I've been doing that since college (back in about 88-89). Before that, I used to play every day at school during our lunch hour, but rarely on the weekends (which is when I play now).

I think another pertinent question would be "how long do you play?" Our group is getting about 4-6 hours a session these days, down from our 8-10 hour sessions back during college.

I play D&D nominally once a week, but we miss weeks, so I think it averages out to about every two weeks.

However, I play (GM, specifically) other RPGs every week, almost every week.

Why? My group meets regularly over Maptool every Tuesday morning (well, my time, we're on two different continents) every week for three hours and has done so for the past four or five years. My Sunday group meets 10 pm Sundays (again, my time, this group is on three different continents, so I have NO idea when they are) and plays for a bit more than three hours usually.

Or are you talking about something like DDO or other MMO's?

I largely play on another PbP site, but they, as all PbP games, tend to stretch on forever. An encounter can last for a month, and a series of five minute posts every day or two hardly seems enough to classify as "playing every day".

yeah, meeting up with others online, and using some chat program seems mroe reasonable than solely PbP. At least, for what this poll was going for
