12, my friends mum was DMing and writing and we played through the school holidays. 7 of us... poor woman! I’m 41 now. I know I was 12 because the Tome of Magic had just come out, and it the only book I owned.
1981, maybe 1982 at the very latest. I was 6 or 7 when my fathers friend introduced me to D&D and I sat in on a game with them. I'll be 46 in June. Pretty sure I owned a D&D boxed set before an Atari 2600.
I started around age 8 and now are 47. My father introduced it through some people at work who thought we would have fun. He started at age 32 and is 73 now, but he would not know what a website is to post to.
I started in secondary school, probably around 14 or 15, but only really stayed into it for a year or two. Then I came back around to it when I was about 30, a little after 3rd Edition came out. I'm currently 49.
My friends older brother introduced us to D&D (Mentzer red box) when I was 7, we then played a mix of BECMI and AD&D without realizing they were actually different lines for a while. We still play a mix of 2e and BECMI now. I am currently 42.
