How to connect Outlook to Internet Email

Dog Moon

Adventurer
Okay, I've been using Microsoft Outlook a little bit and I've been trying to make it connect to my different email accounts [one for work and for fun]. It hasn't worked, however, and I don't know exactly what I'm doing wrong.

If anyone could help me out, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks in advance.

Outlook or Outlook Express?

Outlook (that comes with MS Office) can only be set up to look at one source system.

Outlook Express (essentially part of IE) can be set to look at mulitple accounts/systems.

The one which came with MS Office.

Depending on which version you use, there's ways to set up multiple profiles in Microsoft Outlook. Do you know which version you are using?

Could you clarify what you mean? I've currently got Outlook set up to pull multiple accounts from completely separate domains, so I'm a bit confused by what you're saying, unless you mean multiple Exchange servers. Even so, you can set up an Exchange server pull and multiple POP3 pulls. I've done this in Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2007.

To the OP, what exactly are you looking for? The basics, for most versions of Outlook, is to go to Tools-->Accounts and add in your email account information. Different versions have different specifics, but that's the basic idea.

Edit: Unfortunately, I don't have an installed copy of 2003 handy.

Also DM ... sometimes individual iNet mail has instructions on their websites (usually buried where it is hard to find - but usually there) of how to connect email clients to their service.

May be a moot question, but did you already check there?
