Question is @Tony Vargas in this thread and did he say "burn it and use a different game"?
Obviously they use one handed swords and off hand staves ..like any Gandalf wannabe.HA! Like real spellcasters would be allowed to use crossbows.
Yes, and no...Question is @Tony Vargas in this thread and did he say "burn it and use a different game"?

Legendarily or Mythically might have not required the scare quotes you say pshah."Historically"

And, no.
I advised removing slots, IIRC.
That’s odd, we had lots of characters reach name level in different campaigns (including Demi-human multiclass).shrug
The number of campaigns that I have run in 1e that:
1. Had a fighter subclass; and
2. Had that character survive until name level; and
3. Had the campaign continue past that level; and
4. Did not have the character retire or otherwise mostly leave the game; and
5. Had that character find a use for those spells, when they were already adventuring with high-level spell casters, had tons of magic items, and (if they were a Paladin) had an effin' Holy Avenger. Yeah, I'm talking about you Brad. THERE IS NOT A TREE THAT HANDS THOSE SWORDS OUT, YOU KNOW!* ...
was zero. So I'm glad it played a part in your decision-making, but that wasn't my experience.
*Probably next to the "I rolled a 17 charisma when you weren't looking" tree.
OK, now I'm curious what the difference between Shatner and Walken commas is? I mean, Shatner commas, sure, it's .. a .. pause.Let's do it with Shatner commas and Walken ones for the ultimate drama
There is a meme about it... they both use inappropriate pauses like I use inappropriate ellipses.OK, now I'm curious what the difference between Shatner and Walken commas is? I mean, Shatner commas, sure, it's .. a .. pause.
