HQ: The 'Ready Lounge'

Maddy smiles sarcastically back, with nothing slightly about it. "Mmm... something tells me--bullets. Lots and lots of bullets." She leans forward and offers her hand. "Maddy Glass. Something tells me you might be one of the few people here capable of puting a dent in me."

Gauntlet laughs a deep, throaty laugh.

"Well to being honest, arm-guns are not something I am so proud of. Bullets kill and I am no killer. But on last mission with Echo here there were robots. And most robots not being of the feeling sort I used my guns... annnnd they were working not so well. So I am switching to armor piercing rounds for future."

Gauntlet takes Maddy's hand in his own. Maddy can tell that Gauntlet is well practiced in restraining the strength within those large robotic arms of his.

"Please be forgiving rudeness. My name is Aleksander, but you may call me Gauntlet."

Marie perked up in interest. "What sort of gun? Is it scratch built? What size rounds? Can I see? What sort of safety mechanisms?"

While the others chat (and Maddie continues insulting people), Nimbus's attention wanders and her fingers start tapping. Looking around, she finds a piece of paper and pen, moves over to a chair away from the others, and starts drawing.

Marie grimaced a bit as Gus' eyes changed colors. "Well, uh, yeah. I got that part, and dont do that thing with the eyes, please, it's creepy. But what are boogeymen? Are you spirits? Some wierd mutant thing? What? I mean, I know I'm a bit wierd myself, I can talk to doors, but you? Something all together different.

Gus looks embarrassed, even upset, and appears to concentrate. "Thousand apologies," he grunts, and after a moment, he looks... indefinably more real. Not that he was transparent or gelatinous before, but there is definitely something... solid about him now. "I did not realize, my nature was... getting away from me. Please remind me if I disturb."

He sits down, carefully giving Marie her space.

"As for what I am..." Gus shrugs, slightly helpless. "Am dream. Am no master of science or magics to understand these things. I... am from different place. Only came to world as visitor. Now am resident." He sighs. "Is decision I must learn to live with, yes?"

"I only speak english. Ron says a bit uncomfortably, "Anything else is just an echo, lasting only as long as there is something to reflect back."

He gives Gauntlet a wave as the big man enters the room.

"Apologies," Gus mutters, "Am making bad impressions. Please understand, it is my talent to... find uncomfortable spaces. It happens sometimes, when I do not desire."

After a moment's pause, Gus decides to try again.

"My own speech... it is similar. I have learned no human tongues, but dreams... we are always understood."

Gus looks across the room at the large, oddly formed man with a thick accent with interest. His face does not shift, though. Already trying to carry on two conversations, the former nightmare decides to wait before introducing himself.

Giving up on getting any meaningful resting done with such a large crowd present, Paladin unsheathes Excalibur and begins to idly sharpen it's edge with a whetstone.

Sergeant is absorbed in his reading of some document he had downloaded on his PDA. After a moment, he stands up. "I'm gone. I need to record some new scenario for teh training rooms. Once it will be done, you'll be welcome to try. Paladin, what do you think, I put our final battle against Relic in it. I think some people will find that challenging." As he tells that, his eyes turn a quick moment on Gauntlet.
