HQ: The 'Ready Lounge'

The young woman returns the Jamacian boy's wave with a polite nod as she continues to listen to the conversations within the room. She quietly takes a moment and looks around at those assembled here. Her eye pause momentarily on each person in turn, a russian with large mechanical arms and the young woman beside him, a seven foot creature discussing dreams with the friendly Jamacian boy and control with the young woman who is also speaking to the russian, a woman with short spiky ivory hair sketching something, another young woman wearing an overlarge leather jacket, and a tall man wearing amour and sharpening a sword.

Not wishing to intrude on the discussion, the young woman smoothly rises to her feet and walks over to the woman sitting to the side sketching. Indicating the chair next to Nimbus, Ulla-Maria asks "Excuse me, Do you mind if I join you?"

"I thank you for being gracious. It is rare gift."

"Oh, dont worry about it. You're not half as weird as some of the things I've talked to. I mean, I got hit on by a street lamp once. Well, technically the spirit of the street lamp, but it was still strange."

Maddy leans forward at Marie's comments. "Was he not your type? Let me guess--he was too skinny. Or wait, I know--you realized he wasn't going anywhere in his chosen career!"

"Or maybe only dream creatures can truley understand the tings others dream of. Do you dream, Gus?"

Gus looks to the wall, his eyes unfocused and wistful.

"No." He says quietly, "I am not sleeper."

After a moment, he continues.

"I am missing dreams."

Gus' laugh is surprisingly rich. "Do not you worry," he declares, his eyes twinkling, "I am not that kind of dream."

(OOC: I'm going to assume that these conversations aren't taking place simultaneously. As entertaining as the picture of Gus literally talking out of both sides of his face is... yeah, I bit off more than I could chew.)

Nimbus looks up from her sketching, almost surprised someone's talking to her. She shoots a quick glance at the group, then back at Ulla-Maria.

"No. No, not at all. Please, sit."

Her eyes trail back to her drawing.

"What I wouldn't give for some paints right now."

"It was the three heads and barbs that did it, actually. That and he was chartreuse. Horrible color. I'm not sure why a streetlight spirit was chartreuse. His fashion sense didnt help either. Liederhosen of all things"

Ron gives Marie an odd look, "When you say you were hit on by da street lamp, you don mean that someone or someting was using it as a club, do you?"

Ulla-Maria takes a seat with a brief sideways look to the side as the woman in the overlarge jacket speaks.

Once seated, Ulla-Maria speaks again, "Thank you. I am Eversti ... Colonel Ulla-Maria Wallenius, but my colleagues call me Scout. I understand we may be working together, thus I thought to make your acquaintance."

She pauses and looks carefully at the sketch, then comments "I am no artist, but I think that is amazing. Is art your profession?"
