Huge printing error in my Eberron!

Eh, it happens, although it seems an unusually high percentage of copies were affected. I've worked on projects with decent sized runs before (10,000 or more copies), and we'd pull every 100th copy or so out just to check for that sort of thing. Sloppy, but the binder will pay through the nose for it. I just hope the FLGS's don't have to wait too long to get re-imbursed for the copies they take back.

My, but you're certainly quite narrowminded. Remember, anybody who dares to raise the LEAST bit of complaint as a consumer is indulging in "blind hate". It is our OBLIGATION as consumers to mildly, meekly, and happily take whatever crap is shoveled out, for any squeak of complaint is "blind hate".

I'd rather not be a mewling suckup, myself.

:::sniff, sniff::: Smells like someone doesnt like Eberron. Fact is F*ck ups happen. Does that mean we have to like it? No, but Its not a complete lack of respect for the consumer that it got out. Its a mistake at the printers (or Binders, or whatever.) If WOTC said, "Oooo that does suck that the pages are messed up, but sorry you bought it, you own it." Then that would be a complete lack of respect for the consumer, but WOTC is making sure those copies get replaced, you are being returned your money to buy a replacement. The situation is being fixed. Problems happen at the where the book is bound. One guys says, "Check out the office assiassant." Some turns their head and pages get mixed up. They are only human. The cost per book to pay people to got thru everybook, would skyrocket the cost per book to something like 60-70 dollars. So they have a few guys check them as they come out of the press, those copies look good so the run gets the green light. Now I am not saying that you shouldnt have some anger. I would be upset too, but the situation is being handled, I'll get my book, might take a little longer, but I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. There is no reason to get all "RRRAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Get the assault rifles!!!!!!! We march on WOTC headquaters at DAWN!!!!!!!!" Just relax and go out side and enjoy the sun. You know that flaming orange ball in the sky that gives off warmth.... I kid, I kid!!!! :p ;)

We are usually credited as soon as we send something like this back to our suppliers. Distributors likewise. But the lost sales and the disappointed customers, well, not much you can do there but replace or refund as quickly as possible.

Ooohhh - keep going - you can do better!

You know, it's exactly this attitude that made me decide that my money had to go elsewhere.
When I look at Wizards, I see poor editing, nearly useless revisions made to cash some more money out of old books, and a general attitude of "if you don't like it, then it's probably your problem".
This printing mistake, while not their fault, could be just the last straw for some people. Pulling their legs, taking the piss, and treat them like a$$holes will create only bad feelings.
If you'd really like Wizards and D&D as much as you pretend to do, you should keep a much lower profile.

The best part here is that I rarely buy WotC products. I just love to tweak the knee-jerkers and hatas out there.

Sure - speak with your dollars but at least have the information correct about why you are.

If I waned to keep a low profile I wouldn't post at all. really what are you saying here? I'm going to hurt WotC sales by tweaking persons like this? I guess i could care less about seeing WotC sales drop but... and dang! - didn't know i had such power! Lessee

Go out and buy Scarred Lands stuff you guys! I said it's great!

And, uh, why should peopel who like WotC and D&D keep a low profile on message boards devoted to D&D (and WotC's system in general)?

That seems a wee bit odd.

*Meanwhile, over at white-wolf.com...*
"And all you people who like Vampire, better keep a low profile!"

No, it doesn't. It's people like you who choke the American legal system with frivolous suits.

WotC has done no harm to you. If they either refund or replace the book, they are no liable in any way. Even if they didn't the only thing you could hope for would be a class action suit for them to refund the price of the book to every person with a messed up copy.

In short there is absolutely no reason to initiate a lawsuit unless and until a) the refuse to refund or replace the book and b) you can organize a class action suit.

Until then, get off your litigious high horse.

Holy Bovine has nothing to do with WotC. You're mistaking him for Hellcow, who in fact wrote Eberron.

Dogbrain, this is the second time this morning you've been extraordinarily rude and insulted people. I'll be blunt: do so again, and you get a free week's vacation. Do so after that, and you're gone. If you're going to post here, you're going to respect the site's guidelines. If that is somehow a problem, feel free to start a thread in Meta (my email is currently inaccessable) and we can discuss it further.

As for everyone else, please respond to blatantly rude posts by alerting moderators in the Meta forum. Thank you. Do NOT continue the argument. This thread is for discussing the printing problem, not for personal sniping.
