Humans as Outsiders?

OK, it has been told to me that when an Outsider dies on a plane other than their native plane, they are simply sent back to their native plane, and can return, using the normal rules for shifting between planes. My question is, Humans are native to the Material plane, so would they be considered Outsiders on another plane? Also, what about Native Outsiders, like Aasimar, would they simply return to the Material plane if they get killed on another plane? What are the rules for this?

Both humanoids and native outsiders simply gain the extraplanar subtype when they are off their home plane. The extraplanar subtype makes them vulnerable to certain spells (dismissal, I think)

So a humanoid on a plane other the material would be Humanoid (extraplanar) and a native outsider would be Outsider (native, extraplanar)

Doesn't change what happens to them when they die.
