Garthanos
Arcadian Knight
But Mister the cool-aide tastes funny and mommy isn't moving anymore.
You haven't sold your flavor text... or presented it even ;-) let me see if I can do some imagination gymnastics...
Basically the Paladin losing the wisdom factor --- avenging paladin ... feels darn near primal instead of divine -- instincts become a secondary guide --- instinctive connection to the divine can work.
"Likely you were born instinctively knowing and sometimes feeling your connection to the divine (and have never had to learn it - you consider the divine mystery to be an empowering thing) and both your health and your luck seems to show it... the healing energies you stream in to your companions and allies are another expression of that same power, divine mettle is really just a focusing on this connection. Paladins are perceived by some of clericdom as the oblivious, self sacrificing fools of the religious realm, with glazed over eyes not seeing the mortal world, but for those who's power creates a connection to humanity their healing gift seems unparalleled... for those who fail to connect with humanity this power turns almost entirely inward and shows itself in preternatural physical strength (avenging paladin build). The avenging paladin doesn't really understand the divine as priests do or see it reflected in the eyes of other souls as charismatic paladins do when it guides his hand it is a raw instinctive thing but full of might."
Now mister, give me back my candy.
Call it Instinctive Divinity or the Divine CONnection.
