No. The shadow weave isn't that old, anyway.
Thank you indeed!!

Ok. I guess I'll have to wait Champion of Ruin...

Would you tell me something about Spell Reprieve, Item Reprieve and Multilingual please?
And what is the feat Jergal’s Pact? I like this guy a lot! Thank you again!

Hi KaeYoss.

In addition to Elfblades, Imaskarcana, Nether Scroll, are there any other artifacts?

Could you given us a brief description of the epic spell "Ioulaum's Longevity"?

Where is Srinshee now? Why does she stay at that place?

What are the portfolios and domains of those ancient gods?

Thanks for the reply. :)

Any info on how ole Moldy is coming back if at all?
Do you mean Orcus? I haven't read much if anything about him. Though I've only finished the first two "real" chapters (Crown Wars and God-Kings of the East)

Does it relate at all to Lolth's Silence?
Not really. There is a band of Drow in an adventure site though, who want to find imaskari magic (who they heard was able to mess with the gods even) to get behind the Silence

Regarding the former Dark Twosome, Bhaal's followers, any mention of the Bhaalspawn?
Yes, as has been said: they get one sentence (something among the lines of "Bhaal left behind a small army of mortal Descendants who try to get his power")
Myrkul, any chance he might come back?
Nothing in the book about it so far, though it isn't really the right book for it. With stuff like the Horned Harbinger from other books, there is always the chance of him returning.

What are the requirements for the Olin Gisir? Are they the same or similar to the Loremaster? I have a sun elf diviner that is heading towards Loremaster, but Olin Gisir sounds like it would fit better.

Elf/Half-elf
Concentration 8, Know (arcana) 10, Know (his) 10
Iron will, two metamagic feats
3rd level arcane spells
Abjuration may not be prohibited.

The class is somewhere between diviner and abjurer with its abilities (to find the secrets, and, in the case of awakened fiends, hold them at bay)

How much of a description does Chessenta get?

Not much. Chessenta is only 400 years old, and still exists, so it doesn't really qualify as an old empire. It is mentioned, though. Their hero Tchazzar, the red dragon who won their worship for freeing them from Unther 400 years ago, is one of the fallen gods (he became a deity, but was devoured by Tiamat) who is still worshipped by many Chessentans (they need the Servant of the Fallen feat, though).

It also gets a couple of lines in the God-Kings Timeline, and a short paragraph as heir to the old empires.

How specific does the history of Myth Drannor get; what does the book describe as the source of its fall?

Again, I haven't read it, but it does get its own chapter. In the paragraph "The Fall", the loss of Coronal Eltargrim, Aravae Irithyl, the Srinshee, and the Crownblade, were managed as the beginning of the end: The Coucil of Twelve who assumed leadership of Cormanthyr was prone to infighting and thus destabilized the realm. These were only the first of several reasons for the decline of Myth Drannor. The final blow was the Weeping war.

How well is the connection between Amaunator and Lathander explored? Does the Sunmaster have to be good?

As far as I've read, not far. It's said that the Sunmasters claim Lathander to be the reincarnation of Amaunator, but he hasn't commented on this.

Sunmasters don't have to be good, but they must be (any) lawful. Technically, their patron deity is Amaunator (via the Servant of the Fallen feat, which allows you to worship dead deities and get spells out of that, as well as avoiding the fate of the faithless).

What are the new magic items (besides the sceptres and the artifacts) like, if there are any?

It has weapon special abilities (two - the psionic "power leech" and sending), 4 secific weapons, 3 rings, 2 staffs, 16 wondrous items (including the elven memory stones called Telkiira)

Are there any interesting new spells?

There are a couple: ebon ray of doom, a spell that impedes magical healing on the target; srinshee's spell shift, a spell that gives you more options for counterspelling (like letting that fireball go off - right at the feet of the caster); stormshield, a spell that absorbs spells dealing electricity damage; and crushing sphere, a force spell that captures and crushes creature. All in all about two dozen spells.

Do they detail any extant Imaskari? Do they detail Halaster's link to Imaskar?
They mention Deep Imaskar (from Underdark). Halaster isn't mentioned.

Spell reprieve and item reprieve loosen the probition on your prohibited school. Spell reprieve grants you access to one spell, item reprieve lets you use magic items of one school.

Multilingual (1st-level only) gives you more languages and speak language is a class skill for you.

There are the mythallar (like mythals, but they also allow the creation of quasi-real magic items that cost no xp but only work within its borders) and the Dragontear Crown of Sharrven,.

Damage everyone in a big radius. Whoever is killed or destroyed by it turns to dust and increases your livespan by one year.

Where is Srinshee now? Why does she stay at that place?

Her location is unknown. Before she left, she said that she would return when the dream of a truly unified land of elves and non-elves was realized.

What are the portfolios and domains of those ancient gods?

I'll list the portfolios. (I don't want to post whole tables here)
Amaunator: bureaucracy, law, order, the sun
Auppenser: enlightenment, psionics, serenity
Bhaal: assassination, murder, violence
Gilgeam: battle, prowess, strength, unther
Ibrandul: caverns, dungeons, skulks
Leira: deception, illusion
Moander: decay, corruption, rot
Myrkul: corruption, the dead, death, old age
Ramman: duty, order, vigilance, war
Tchazzar: battle, chessenta, strength, victory

Kaeyoss,

Uhm no, I was specifically asking about Moander. (whom some call Moldy). I meant does Lolth's Silence some how affect his ability to possible revive himself and/or reclaim his old portfolios?

(I'll guess I'll have to wait and see if Champions of Ruin have some details on some Archfiends....)

Nothing like that is mentioned, and it wouldn't really have a place in the book, anyway, since it is about the old stuff. This would be definetly new.

(I'll guess I'll have to wait and see if Champions of Ruin have some details on some Archfiends....)

Afaik it will have infos on archfiends, including BoVD-like write-ups, AFAIK.

OK, I've finished reading the first two history chapters - The Crown Wars and the God-Kings of the East. I'll describe the God-Kings chapter to show how the book in general is put together.

After a brief introduction that tells you what the chapter is all about, it starts with history, especially with a timeline. The Chapter describes the rise and fall of five Empires: Imaskar, Mulhorand, Unther, Narfell and Raumathar. The timeline describes the events involving those five realms (which are connected to each other).

After that we have "Keepers of the Past", which tells you where PC's could get the information the chapter provides. It has a table that links Knowledge (History) DC's to facts recovered. Example: DC 10 - Basic information (Narfell and Raumathar were great empires that coexisted with Mulhorand and Unther but fell long ago.) It also lists two specific locations of libraries where you can obtain information. Songs and stories describes exactly that: Stories told about the past and songs they sing about it. It is short in many chapters, but there are a couple of longer ones in others (the one about the Crown Wars is quite large, as is the one about Cormanthyr)

Next is Important Sites. It is divided by the five empires and then describes the several locations within each, in their present state. Some of them have some background information about its past, ans some list current inhabitants.

Legacies of the Old Empires tells of the effects the past has on the present:
In Adventure seeds we have some, well, adventure seeds. Buried Secrets has stuff that could be of use to today's inhabitants, and Heirs ot the Empire lists the realms, nations, and peoples that are the descendants of the old empires and its populace.

This Chapter has also an Adventure Site. Sonjar's tower, a 60-foot, three-story tower located within a huge geode in the desert. It belonged to an Imaskari artificer in the days of old, but today a band of drow mercenaries have taken over the place. The whole complex (tower and accompanying chambers) make heavy use of portals for entrance, supply of air, water, heat, waste disposal, and even view.

The Sunmasters.

I'm a little curious about this now. Are they specifically worshippers of Amaunator or are they also allowed to be clerics of Lathander at the start? I'm assuming a prerequisite is the Servant of the Fallen. Are there specific prerequisites to this feat and are there any benefits of taking this (other than not ending up in the Wall...) What's the overall flavor of the Sunmaster PrC and if you don't mind, could you describe the requirements? I'm curious since I was just contemplating playing a cleric of Lathander and I'm wondering if I should change that since I've always wanted to play a cleric of Amaunator.

Thanks

Excellent. Still in at 7th if I can convince my DM to let me swap out Skill Focus (Knowledge Arcana) for Iron Will. Now I just need to work with him for my character to learn of the Olin Gisir (assuming they are not common knowledge), and convince them to let me join.

This sounds exactly like Gift of Tongues from Races of Faerûn.
