Is there anything for a fan of Gnolls in this book?

What's wrong with the slaad illustrations in the Monster Manual? I really like those: much better than what the old MMII or Planescape had.

Before I had seen the slaad picture in the savage species book, I didn't think anything was wrong with them. Now, I absolutely do. The new picture just puts the old one to shame, in my opinion. It gives the slaad a more chaotic, elemental look, and yet still somehow organic and reptilian. It's nice.

I live in Germany and I think it´ll take a long time to get this book. Maybe in March

And now, Amazon.de canceled the pre-orders for Savage Species and it seems they don´t plan to offer it anymore.

I'm underwhelmed by the whole savage species thing. It's just not my cup 'o tea. Not very much coming from WoTC save the 3.5 books that I'm looking forward too.

FR stuff, blah, don't game there. Fiend Folio? Considering what they did to Dieties and Demigods no thanks. Pretty much everything I'm looking forward too is all third party.
